A
note from the editor
We
had a successful AGM recently; the business was conducted reasonably swiftly
and was followed by quite a lot of trading with honey, apple juice, fantastic
home bakes and jam along with books, plants and bric a brac – think everyone
went home having happily traded and with full stomachs thanks to Liz’s
wonderful baking.
We
were very grateful to Graham (259) who has agreed to help with some IT system support.
Hope
to see you at an event soon!

any unwanted plants, seedlings, indoor early salad crops, etc.
Of course, you’re welcome to load your
trading table up with whatever you wish!
This
is a popular event with lots of members attending and we have a way for members
of Letbuzz to inter-trade with HempLETS for more information contact Graham 259

FUTURE
EVENTS
At the AGM we circulated a list
of possible future events with the aim of sharing events coordination and
finding out which events would be popular.
If you haven't already
responded then please take a few minutes to read through the list (below) and
reply to let us know which ones you might like to attend and whether you would
like to coordinate/host any of them. There is space at the end of the list to
add any ideas of your own!

Interview
Continuing
our theme of member introductions, this month we feature Valerie 258.
When did you join Letsbuzz?
I’ve been a member of Letsbuzz for nearly four
years, but have been involved with Milton Keynes Letnet for about 25
years. I was delighted to find that
Leighton Buzzard had it’s own Lets scheme.
What do you like about being in Letsbuzz?
I just love the concept of LETS where we can help
each other, make new friends and trade without using cash.
What would you like to change?
I suppose I would like to be more active within the
group (although I am pretty active). I
am working full-time and so am time-short at the moment. It would be great if the whole group were a
bit more active, but I think we do okay.
What is your most frequent trade?
I’m not sure what my most frequent trade is, I have bought
quite a few items from members but I do intend to have some shiatsu treatments
and possibly some singing lessons!
What has been your most unusual trade?
From my time with MK Letnet I’ve bought sheep and
chickens, tuition for my children, a bike, I’ve certainly made good use of the
scheme.
What are your interests?
I was very interested in self-sufficiency when I was
younger, interested in health (I’m a midwife), particularly complementary
therapies, education, politics, green issues.
I love dancing and gigs.
What are your current offers and wants?
I’m a pretty good organiser, good admin skills …
would like help in general and especially would like complementary therapies.
What's the best way for members to contact you? By email – valgommon@gmail.com
